I had Metro over to the studio for an in-person interview and we had such a blast chatting and getting his full story. 🤩

•Becoming DJ Metro: Metro was truly "Born Into This Business" - he started DJing at 8 years old and was inspired by his older brother and cousin who were both successful DJ's. Growing up, he honed his craft and learned the art of turntablism and scratching - a skill that helped make him who he is today. Throughout the ups and downs in his early days, he persevered and continued to build his brand until he eventually earned the respect of every DJ and venue owner in the city. If you're in Chicago nightlife... you've heard of Metro - that is a fact. 💫
•Chicago Bulls Official DJ: In late 2013, Metro was recommended by B96 to help spearhead the new entertainment division of the Chicago Bulls and become their official DJ. However, this is a different level of DJing people... this is an NBA team with a history like none and the level of dedication and professionalism required is second to none. Metro gave us the down low on his involvement and shared some amazing stories and perks - I LOVED this part of our interview. ❤️🔥
•The Next Level: Metro has quite the resume - Official Chicago Bulls/White Sox DJ, legendary B96 mix show, toured worldwide (Singapore, Ibiza, Alaska), shared the stage with Pitbull and Justin Bieber, decorated turntablist, and so much more. However, he is the first person to tell you that he still has so much to learn. This is a man who is committed to achieving greatness the old-fashioned way - hard work and dedication. We talked about how he continues to evolve his game on every level and he shared tons of priceless pieces of advice on how he's gotten to where he is now. 📝
As a Chicago DJ, I've seen Metro play 20+ times - this dude goes IN but always has a smile on his face. His energy is contagious and I'm truly honored to have had him on the show. Although he's a ice-cold DJ, he's got a warm heart - a true family man. A wife and 3 kids with one more on the way! 🙌🏻
