We’ve got an amazing interview for you today with an extremely talented musician who also doubles as DJ/Producer - he goes by the name RAFI and it was such a blast getting his full story in this episode
In 179 we discussed:
•Early inspirations and influences: Born and raised in Southern California, Rafi has always had a strong affinity for music. However, it all actually started with Guitar Hero (same here though) and he quickly realized he wanted to play guitar for real. In middle school, he joined a band and fell in love with performing and knew he wanted to pursue music as more than a passion. He can also play the violin, viola, drums AND piano. SHEESH 🤯
•Becoming Rafi: As a USC student, Rafi was exposed to tons of different cultures and a diverse student community that inspired him on so many different levels. He started DJing and found himself becoming the life of the party and was enamored by the energy he could create through various types of music. He quickly found success as a DJ performing at top clubs in LA like Nightingale, Shorebar, and supported artists like AC Slater and Dr Fresch. The kid's got it!! 🪄
•Music Productions: Throughout 2020, Rafi buckled down in the studio and put in WORK trying to create music that would speak to the masses. His first release, titled "Drive", perfectly encompasses how his original foundation of authentic artistry can be seamlessly translated into electronic music. He followed up with a beautiful remix of Ally Barron's "T-Shirt" and has some SERIOUS unreleased heat that will be available very soon.🤘🏻
As soon as I listened to Rafi's music, I knew that he was something special. Now, after getting to know him, I can honestly tell you this guy is going to be big. He understands music in a different way than most and it's not hard to tell! ⭐️
Much love and respect my man and thank you for coming on the show! 🙌🏻
